Alisha’s incredible pieces have been gracing the walls since January and we’re thrilled to chat with her about her journey.

Tell us about yourself and your practice as an artist.

My practice revolves around building emotion through layers—visually, tonally, and texturally. Whether it's a bespoke commission, a ready-to-hang original, or a curated series of museum quality art prints, my pieces are designed to elevate a space and speak to the collector’s story. Art that’s deeply personal, yet universally felt.

Where do you draw your inspiration from?

Inspiration finds me in fragments—a flash of rust on an old fence, the texture of woven grass, a moody corner in a designer home, or a perfectly styled editorial spread. I see the world as a patchwork of tones and textures: nature, fashion, interiors, memory, and modern stillness. I pull from it all, weaving it together until it becomes something you can feel with your eyes. The gentle hum of eucalyptus leaves swaying in the wind? That’s movement in a brushstroke.

Your pieces are full of colour. Are there any particular palettes that you are currently loving?

Oh yes—right now I’m loving stormy sage greens, grounding ochres, and sun-drenched rusts. I’m drawn to palettes that are earthy and natural, but I still love to add a contrasting burst of colour here and there to really make the canvas pop.

Is there a piece in the collection that holds special significance for you?

A piece that is being shown at Bivouac currently, 'Warming over the Valley'. I love the natural palette across this canvas, the pops of orange add a fresh dimension too. The piece itself has inspiration drawn from the Perth Hills, the layered textures in the trees and shrubbery that surround us. It feels like the last sunlit rays at the end of the day, gently moving over the land.

Any other exciting exhibitions coming up?
